The TALUS is a class 1 type Bluetooth USB dongle that supports transmission distance up to 100m. It is suitable for industrial or special applications. TALUS is fully compatible with other Bluetooth device. It supports Bluetooth specification 2.0 with EDR (Enhanced Data Rate).
Enhanced Transmission Distance
Bluetooth is widely used for wireless PAN (Personal Area Network). There are 3 classes for Bluetooth: class 1, communication distance of up to 100m, 30m for class 2 and 10m for class 3. TALUS is a class 1 type Bluetooth serial adapter that supports distance up to 100 meters.
Bluetooth v4.0 + EDR
EDR stands for ‘enhanced data rate’ for faster data transfer in Bluetooth. When Bluetooth first came out, the transfer rate was 1Mbps, but with EDR the speed went up to 3Mbps. TALUS is designed for faster transfer rate.
Supports Various Profiles
There are different kinds of profiles for their own uses. TALUS supports HID, SPP, FTP, PAN and 10 more profiles so that it can connect to a lot of different Bluetooth devices.
